Hey all. My audio cave is nearly all reflective stone/concrete/brick, but I'm fearlessly moving forward with a speaker upgrade nonetheless. Help me choose!

DETAILS:
  • Room Treatment: Behind the speakers are 2' x 4' turkish grain sacks, filled with 3" thick rockwool safe and sound. Three more rockwool sacks hang on the main stone wall to right of couch. Assume no further room treatment unless in keeping with current aesthetics.
  • Usage: 75% 2.1 music 25% 4.1 HT. Usually listen to music at around 50-60 db
  • Equipment: Buckeye Purifi 1ET6525SA 2-Channel, Wiim Ultra Preamp, SVS SB-1000 (non pro) sub, KEF Q150 Rears powered by Wiim Amp.
  • Upgrading because, you know, I just want more more more of everything! The current MA Bronze BX2's are nice but I know I can do better on all fronts with larger modern speakers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Budget: ~ low $2000's (ideal) ~ low $3000's (max)
- Plays well with reflective side surfaces
- Tone: Neutral with smooth response. Can easily be tuned/relaxed w/ EQ. No peaky treble.
- Music: Everything - I have music ADD.
- Soundstage: Haven't tested enough variations to form a preference. Options likely limited in this room anyway.
- Movies: Clear dialogue. Not concerned with timbre matching rears.
- Finish: Wood grain preferred, not required. Matte ideal. Gloss only an option in wood grain.

CURRENT LIST:
- Some models may have to be found used
- Leaning toward Arendal 1961 tower or 1723 s tower, but open!
- Got help from my AI friends with this list. Thanks for any help you smart/er people might have!

Have you considered the beautiful BMR monitors? I feel like the wide directivity will help with the fact that the speakers are a little close together and the room acoustics.

I'll let others suggest the best speakers, but
How about tearing out those brick shelves that look like pizza ovens first?
The room is tough enough already without that thing getting in the way and adding more corners...

It's a bit 'pin the tail on the donkey' but out of the listed selection I'd go with the JBL 4309

I'm assuming you want to have fun listening to music rather than recreate a studio control room.
