Stereophile review of Philharmonic BMR Monitor

Screenshot_2025-04-10-20-17-48-11_64ef5fc2000c1caa954c114bb372e1d5.jpg I hadn't seen these until a day or two ago, but looks like another BMR speaker with a mix of 2 and three way using it as a woofer, a mid, and a tweeter lol
To add to the companies using BMR in 3way

Have been a fan of Dennis’s efforts for decades and this Stereophile review only reinforces my view.

As for load impedance, this speaker is relatively more challenging. The measurements show this so no denying fact. Most amps may be fine but are going to have to deliver more power than for a less demanding speaker. Would not stop me from buying them. :)

Hypex nc252mp ($600) is just fine. Doesn't need to be a monster.

While we are working on the tariff situation, our existing stocks are running super low. This is a BMR specially made for someone that we "might" consider put up for a charity auction. :)

I see only the more squared box is in stock on the site. Those with the above box are out of stock correct? Where's the auction?!

If I'm to be honest, I do not like that red burl.

Nonetheless, I am a massive fan of the other finishes and styles at Philharmonic Audio from the au courant @alexis, especially the Satin Walnut.

I own many of them as you can see.

The "special someone" is too busy to pick up the speakers.
(You should pass it around to all his “friends” for us to sign in sharpie. It will be the most special gift he never knew he needed! ;) )

Erin has tested both the first and current versions, and Audioholics has tested V1. And now we have the Stereophile measurements.
Hi Dennis, I wanted to thank you!
Over 10 years ago, upon my request, you sent me the circuit diagram for an improved crossover for the Cambridge Audio S30.
They sound great and are still in use. I actually wanted to thank you back then, but my laptop was stolen and my contact information was lost.
It's great to have you here too!

All the best,
Martin
