Stereo speaker distortion issue

I appreciate all of your insight and resources. I’m going to throw some t-shirts in there. They are odd down-firing ports that a pair of tube socks won’t fit, unfortunately.

T-shirts didn't make a difference. I'm going grab a Pioneer LX-505 on a decent discount and use the Vidar for external amplification. Simple, easy solution to my issue.
