Starke Sound Subwoofers

I bought an sw15 and it broke when playing Edge of Tomorrow. Messaged them and they got back next week and overnighted me a new SW15. I was under the impression that they were just sending me a replacement driver, not a brand new sub.

All they wanted in return was for us to open up the broken subwoofer and give them a diagnostic for their team.

So that's exactly what I did, and they haven't gotten back since then. I'm going to try to salvage the broken subwoofer, possibly put in an ultimax 15 and let it run with the same amplifier.

The lesson here is: Starke is a solid company and stands behind their product. They also went above and beyond in helping me out and I fully recommend anybody buying their subwoofer.

That's good, they just reset the day right?

Do you remember what db level you were playing edge of tomorrow at when it blew? I have the same subs and I just got edge of tomorrow on bluray.

-5 pre on PC

-5 pre on AVR

-6 Sub trim on AVR, so -16 relatively

My failure happened to be related to the glue coming loose and the VC/Spider/coupler separating from the cone and just going full xmax but without the cone/surround moving

I don't think you will have this issue, mine was a freak event that should've never happened, thus the warranty
