Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu

Smashing popularity
2 seasons and done, just like Academy,

It has already been explained to you why there are no more than two seasons of Andor. Does it need to be explained again? It has absolutely nothing to do with "popularity", which the Rotten Tomatoes scores clearly show.

If you're just trolling just say so and be done with it. At least that'd be honest.

No talk of a big screen $165m cinema movie to follow.

It's called Rogue One. Again, it's been explained to you already. (An estimated 200-280m budget btw. Contrast and compare.)

Chick-flix as in containing little that would upset most women's delicate sensibilities,

Like attempted rape, genocide, murder and torture?

just like all the stuff aired daily on 2 Hallmark channels, you know.

I'll take your word for it. Never once watched Hallmark.

The alternate/opposite of a Mans movie, they mostly didn't enjoy John Wayne either LOL

Do you get your marching orders from the Tates? "Chick-flix", "women's delicate sensibilities", "Mans movie"...

Hope you're sitting down now: It's 2026, not the 1980's.

I like traditional chick flicks and series. Alien, Terminator, Xena, Kill Bill, etc. :D

I am curious though, what is it that makes Andor a chick flick?
Is it the politics? The oppression? The fascism? The violence? Or was it Mon Mothmas dance scene?

Come on guys, Sal has been with us for a long time. Surely you've figured him out by now. He's harmless, he's just having a bit of fun at your expense. Don't take him too seriously. Every now and then he says something outrageous just to get a rise from you. The secret is to annoy him back.

I'm new here. What you describe seems like a somewhat sociopathic behavior, to each their own I suppose.

What you describe seems like a somewhat sociopathic behavior,
Oh I'm most definitely a sociopath, beware.
OTOH, As a Star Wars featurette, Andor still sucks. JMHO :p

What would you call the need to hijack every SW thread with Andor nonsense just to take jabs at Sal?
I just checked and of course it was you who inserted Andor here as soon as second page of the thread, with the other dude who keeps likerating your posts going right after you with next Andor mention. Chill guys FFS, let the personal beef go and have fun.

I watched this movie with my family a few days ago, and I found it entertaining in the same way as older Star Wars movies. It had some silly and funny characters, as these movies always have, and a lot of action-filled scenes, as usual. We had a great time watching it with lots of laughter. :)

The only thing that stood out as unusual for a Star Wars movie was that they dared to modernize the music score a little bit, as it wasn't only filled with large orchestral music and even had some electronic tunes as well.

Is that what happened?

I just checked and of course it was you who inserted Andor here as soon as second page of the thread,

I wrote: "Disney has done pretty poor casting in Star Wars, with the exception of Andor "
That is "hijacking" to you? Mentioning something as an aside in a comparison? And how tf was that a jab at Sal? FFS, I wasn't even talking to him!

Chill guys FFS, let the personal beef go and have fun.

And do you think that you are making it more or less personal calling me out now?
Do you think you are letting things go or perpetuating things?

The way Sally is talking to people I'm sure he can handle himself without your help. It's not like he's some limpwristed chick-flick-lover.

PS: I'm just having a bit of fun at his expense. Don't take me too seriously. Every now and then I say something outrageous just to get a rise from him. The secret is to annoy me back™.

Andor still sucks.
From Mando we get "this is the way". From Andor we get "I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see," and "Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear".

Blah blah blah, a lot of fancy words.
John Wayne would just say "fill your hands your sonofabitch. LOL
NO GRIT? Mando and Grogu kick butts. :p

Mando and Grogu kick butts.
Well, if he kicks ass in the beginning then it's mostly because they basically copied Batman into him, quite a bit like the warehouse scene from Batman v superman
The story is paper thin as expected. Pedro is an actual person in Game of Thrones, but not in this

Oh man the monologues in Andor really is out of this world with Luthen Raels being on the top. I still do watch it from time to time, it really gives me the chills and fits his whole character perfectly!
Nemiks manifesto, Kino Loys prison break speech and Mon Mothma's senate speech are all also so good, and just the dialogue throughout the whole series. No wonder many (including me) ranks Andor as maybe the best series ever produced.

Oh, even aliens know that by now
Probably

We shouldn't compare *Andor* to *The Mandalorian & Grogu*. Aside from the fact that both are set in the *Star Wars* canon, they don't have much in common.
*Andor* is a multifaceted dystopia.
*The Mandalorian & Grogu* is a movie for quick, lighthearted entertainment for the whole family.
Both are well-made in their own way—if you like *Star Wars*.

Hopefully not the way they finished the Avengers story, killing Tony Stark then letting the real Captain American get old and turn over the part to a different character. The franchise died that day.
It will be interesting to see how they try to revive things in the coming Avengers: Doomsday movie.
It kinda hurts when I hear everyone say that about the Captian America thing...because in the comics - Falcon does eventually become Capitan America, Steve Rogers looses the supersoldier powers and becomes a human at peak physical strength. There are so many Cap A's it's ridiculous (over 20)!!! If you're a comics geek like me - you get used to it. Marvel had all of you fooled that Stark was dead too...huh. Secret Wars will bring back a new "sacred time-line" that includes all of the heros you thought were......well, I live this right here and see how it ages.

mmm..... disagree.

Compare "The Mandalorian & Grogu" to "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" for example. I would say "Raiders" is definitely "quick, lighthearted entertainment for the whole family" and is millions of miles better. "The Mandalorian & Grogu" was just not very good.
