Trek has always been woke. If you don't know that you weren't paying attention.

"Why is Rage against the machine so woke now?!?"

The early 2010's people were complaining "the gays" were too in your face everywhere. Now they are a normal part of shows, and not just as a token character. But there are definitely examples of things being overdone.

I think the same thing happened to woke movies and tv-shows. Some of it might be preachy and overdone but we'll find a way there by toning some things down.

Equality is good.
Flipped roles to show hypocrisy is also good.
Unironic flipped roles to just be the terror you think the other group is instead is bad.
People getting annoyed.
Normal part of everyday life.
Some angry leftovers on both sides that will die out with time.
