One interesting benefit of having the speaker sit on the dedicated Genelec top plate is that (laterally secured by the raised topplate 'blobs') it is much easier to finely adjust the 'tip' of the speaker back and forth or left right. Makes pin point positioning straightforward.

Very nice! Even though the speaker is kind of huge it blends very nicely to the surroundings, I don't think WAF would be a problem in most of households.

I would divorce my wife if she told me I can't have Genelecs

I've been using Bowers & Wilkins FS700 V1 stands for my Gens for ages, they are a perfect fit, are super sturdy and you can get a used pair for a good price.

I've posted this in another thread already, but my suggestion would be a pair of the now discontinued G-Stands: https://web.archive.org/web/20171030162216/http://g-stands.net/. They do come up on the second hand market from time to time for 400-500 EUR, but you could also design something like them in CAD and have them cut, bent and powder coated exactly to your specifications.

Yep, big and heavy for a stand mount. You definitely don’t want it to fall in your foot!
