The WiiM streamers all include Tidal Connect. I assume their streaming amplifiers do as well. From what I understand, these budget and android based streamers do not support Tidal connect. Similar to the way LMS does not. Over simplified but in a nutshell LMS runs a web instance of Tidal and allows you to control it remotely through the LMS app. Tidal connect is from Tidals perspective is meant for audio electronics manufacturers (e.g. sony, onkyo) and is not a software solution.
To stream Tidal to a WiiM using Tidal Connect, it works without any special configurations in Windows, Android and iOS. I presume it also works with macOS, but don't have a mac to try it with. Tidal Connect, however, does not work to stream from Linux as far as I know. To stream Tidal from Linux, miniDLNA, or the newer version named ReadyMedia, needs to be installed to stream over DLNA. I assume it is using UPnP.
For the most part, I do not hear a difference in audio quality between Tidal Connect and DLNA, with the only exception being that last week I heard some small clicks in one song. I don't know whether that was an issue with Tidal or with DLNA, though.
