So I have been playing Spotify exclusively since I res-signed, and have had a seamless experience. No glitchess whatsoever. Also, there is now a ton of recommendation vehicles, many more since I left, and they are playing a much bigger variety of much better music than Qobuz. Being able to now start a "radio station" based on an individual song is also very nice (Pandora)…..

I agree with you. The Qobuz recommendations are very strange. In my case, the suggested music is almost the exact opposite of what I enjoy. By contrast, Spotify’s recommendations are usually spot-on, but unfortunately around 30–50 % of them are AI-generated and the portion is growing. Sadly, there’s no option to turn AI-generated songs off. I will immediately jump to a streaming platform that offeres this option.

I started using AI song checkers and checking Spotify song and artist information. Some band names, like Artimus Ion, seem suspicious.

It's a mix of:
- artist activity (nothing prior 2024)
- artist name (AI generated names were weird but now they get less recognizable)
- artist bio/album AI generated pictures (most of the time these are distinguishable)
- music content ( while it can be not bad, can be easy to spot on)
- no trace of the artist on internet except Spotify and YouTube.

When I browse thought my weekly recommendation, I instantly recognize and skip over most of proposed AI generated content. About 10 tracks in the weekly playlist. Sometimes I do check online for a couple of tracks. I rarely make a mistake.

So listening attentively to Spotify playlists/radio this morning and seeing that every track so far is labeled “Lossless.” Does this mean that everything in their library now at least CD quality? (Not that I could tell the difference.)

It's not lossless with all devices....since the addition haven't noticed non-lossless with those devices that provide it.
