If I started selecting amongst my media carriers (given the linkages between cable internet, Hollywood movie houses, and music) and excluded all the ones who invested in content I consider unworthy, trashy, and socially harmful I'd literally have no internet and no entertainment. I choose to take the good to with the bad.
Besides that, I'm certainly not one in a moral position to throw stones -- the garbage I listened to as a youth was shallow, materialistic, misogynistic, violent, anti-authoritarian, glorified sex and drugs...it's just happened to be heavy metal and punk instead of rap. And yet I ended up becoming a contributing member to society, paying taxes (lots of them), etc...and now listen to much better, more "cultured" music, which I support both financially and as a volunteer.
Lastly, at this rate, Tidal will financially fail on its own accord.
