Spotify+AI sucks and is becoming a real plague

Hi all,

Is it happening only to me or not ?
For years, I was using the "weekly discovery selection" to discover new artists. It became my Monday morning routine. While not perfect, it allowed me to discover many artists I now enjoy a lot.
For the past few months, AI generated music and fake artists started to pop up on this selection.
By now, at least 10 tracks on each weekly selection.
Such a pain !
At first, it was very easy (picture/name/music) to spot them.
Then it started to get more sophisticated (fake bio , many followers) and now I need to google to be sure that new discovery are not AI fake artists/bands.
Such a pain.
To the point that as soon qobuz connect is supported by bluesound devices, i will leave Spotify, despite being a happy user and the recent prices increase (22€/month for family plan).

Are you not feeling upset by this phenomenon ?

With Daniel Ek at the helm, I would expect more, not less, of this. And of course attacks by Helsing drones on anyone who attempts to disable this feature.

My son recently told me this. He is switching to Apple Music
 
I think Spotify will still grow further now with the new mix app, ai-dj and their lossless music.

What a giant gap between first and second position. Almost 3 times as many paid subscriptions as apple. Spotify bigger as all of the rest together.
 
Qobuz is missing with 15 Millions premium subscribers.

AI is becoming a major PITA almost everywhere.
I hate when I do an Google search/question and the first answer I get is an AI one :mad:

Yeah that ai is destroying our young people. They do not think anymore so in a few years their brains are fucked and ai is like a drugs for them.
I use my phone like 1 hours max per day and never used ai. The new generation is turning into zombies soon.

Sorry for my rent but i need to protect my newborn for this AI/Phone world!

Bluos update today with Qobuz connect support!
Got qobuz family subscription plan and migrated Spotify playlists, pinned artists and albums to qobuz using soundiiz.
So far qobuz recommendations do not include any AI stuff.
