Spirits, what you drinking...

Well, when I was shopping for this I ran into a guy who kept talking up Ironroot Harbinger whiskey from Texas. I just wish it came in small bottles!
If you taste it, I hope you post about it. I've never had that one. It's a craft distillery.

Cheers

I quit drinking completely about 10 years ago, because of much driving, paired with sports shooting at that time.
You should try not to do everything at once—then it'll work out.

I never tried shooting while driving :D

...but seriously: it was really not practical, I often drove on-demand medical interventions and such...
And, despite my origin, I never really liked alcohol. A sip of good wine, OK, but there are very few occasions lately, and drinking alone isn't "mine".

Looking to start off the holiday weekend here in the US with a bit of this tonight...I enjoy it- but probably won't restock it whenever the bottle is finished. Nice for a change of pace- but not really my favorite flavor profile...

The 1910 is my OF favorite, but I generally love double oaks.

I had my first drink in two months last night. Did a couple Daiquiris made with Smith & Cross and Real McCoy, blended. The spirits were blended, not the drinks. The first one used clarified lime juice, the second "fresh" lime.

Damn, I miss a good cocktail. Sadly, these didn't quite fit the bill. But it was still nice. :D

Confirmed Smirnoff Citrus & club soda.
The key is having a soda stream to create "stiff" soda plus no plastic waste

Had a take-2 of this at a different spot. Much more satisfactory experience. Smith & Cross and Probitas Daiquiris. Perfectly balanced and truly delightful to drink.

Clearer picture of the Eagle Rare pick for Singapore (not the only one but the best one to my tastes). Bought a whole bottle at the bar. We see some interesting picks for bourbon - there's a local Weller Full Proof pick, Antique 107 pick, and a couple of Eagle Rares

In the US, it is hard to get plain old Eagle Rare for MSRP. At its regular price (~$50), I think it is well worth it. But at the same time, I also could be happy drinking Buffalo Trace. I like the sweet style in these bottles, but am less of a fan of the Weller Wheaters.
