To my knowledge I have never tried top shelf Scottish scotch whiskey. I always gravitate to Canadian brands. I like to support the local distillers. I can definitely appreciate the differences in them. One of these days I will deviate and buy a top shelf Scottish scotch.I’m picking up a bottle of Highland Park 12 year tomorrow. I haven’t had it for many months so I’ll be posting here again soon.

If smooth is what one wants I recommend the J.P. Wisers 12 year. It goes up to 35 years if one wants to spend more. That stuff goes down pretty fast.Oban - nice change of pace from my usual Langevulan 16
