sphere shaped speakers

Any owner of Elipson is free to cover it with dimples using a drilling machine or chisel and paint it ever Forest green.
BTW Elipson unique colours are Mercury ice, Saturn Dust and Neptune stone
This is a really old comment but I just can't help but notice they must have fallen asleep in science class when they learned about planets.
 
I know this is an older thread. I hope you don't mind me asking. Was making the speaker basket flush difficult? Did you just use a rabbet router bit?
Hi, the bamboo proved to be a stable an great material to work with. I don’t remember any problems. I have used a router circle jig

Hmmmn... Don't know why more designers use an ovoid shape instead of a sphere.

These really are wonderful speakers. One of the daftest things I did was selling mine.
