Sphere Entertainment acquires sole supplier Holoplot

Sphere entertainment built the Las Vegas performance venue. Each triangle in the sphere has a speaker system, That density of speakers allows listener experience using diffraction and beam forming. The acquisition means Sphere is the owner of the technology for new venues. I have not experienced LV Sphere, there are mixed reports, and it's software that can improve.

It's a lot of digital steering. I haven't heard it yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Mrs Natural & I saw U2 in October from the Sphere's GA floor, maybe 15 meters from the band. Sound was terrific and very balanced ~85db according to my iPhone.
