Maybe, but four of them at the local hifi shop convinced me to buy my first "real" stereo when all my friends were saving for their first carView attachment 496248
See That?
There really never was any 'pixie dust' inside Bose 901s... no matter how much some thought they were magical!
When I found this thread earlier, I had every intention to post the innards (cut-out) of my MoFi SP10ME, but I was beaten to the punch by 2 years.One of my favorite threads is brought back to life?!
MoFi SourcePoint 888s. Not exceptionally deconstructed, but at least a peek inside.
Saw a pair of them at the long-defunct Sony outlet store in Gaffney, SC for $2K. I regret not buying them, but I was 15 at the time and had nowhere to put them!
@daniboun,
Your Amp Sinad List is a great piece of work, truly worth sharing. It was my first time noticing it at the bottom of your ^above^ post.
Thank you.
[OT: I'd be interested to hear/read its history and your BS&T it has taken to create (and maintain) it.]
ADD: I think I found the original thread of that list here.

An example of inserting some Xover substitutes damping material esp. in lower frequency ranges?
No. It was an outlet store that resembled a very well-managed Circuit City store in the 1980s but without a listening room.Did you have the opportunity to test it ?

That's like an old school Augspurger studio main that would normally be flush mounted in the front wall. I bet they kick ass knowing these 15" JBL woofers from their big PA speakers. But, $100k list price is a little excessive considering what comparable pro audio systems go for.
