I just ordered a pair of Geihain RL 901K. Now, I am looking for speaker stands. Are there any Geithain owners here who may want to share their experiences and maybe post a photo? I already came across the Liedtke website...

Standfuss for the living room maybe.. dunno :)

Great speaker choice heard them once. Maybe combine it with music from Bernd Kaempfert
Too much wood for my taste...;)

I will... I already had the opportunity to compare them directly with Neumann KH310 and KH420 and they sounded better for my taste....
I've seen many similar opinions here. I am really curious what their top loudspeakers sound like - Geithain ME 800K.

I auditioned one pair in my music room for a week but decided that as good as they sound there’s not enough reason to replace my Revel Salon2 and Benchmark set.

Unfortunately, this speaker was not in the shop. The good thing is, you don't need to put it on a stand...

Don't see why you wouldn't just use generic speaker stands. I am very pleased with the Norstone ones in white, they are available in several colors (i prefer satin white) and sizes (40, 60 and 80cm):

Mine are 60cm but i'll order a second pair in 80cm for the KEFs. You can fill them with sand and route the cable through them, they also come with spikes if that is your thing, easy to adjust for uneven floors too. The 80cm pair costs 120€, the smaller ones are a bit cheaper.

The white table under the KEFs is a planter stand from Ikea for 25€, looks nice, but is a bit flimsy.

Thanks for information. What did they sound like? Neutral? Dynamically? As far as I can see, your setup cost similar money. I know you can add Geithain subwoofers / subwoofers to the ME 800K, but I don't understand why these subwoofers don't extend the bandwidth downwards? Why then combine them with these columns?

The sounded like my Revels. Simply divine :)

Entry to divine often costs…

They are reasonably priced. The top plate might be too small. The Geithains measure 50 x 43 cm.

I got my Geithains in the meantime. Well, I do neither like the design of the stands from ME Geithain nor the ones made by Liedtke. These stands were ordered over the internet from a German company that specialises in metal furniture. I am very satisfied with the ordering process and the quality of workmanship.

What about sound? :)
The speakers replace my ATC SCM40s. Subjectively, the first think I noticed is that voices sound much more natural with the Geithains than with the ATCs and (of course) the bass goes much deeper. The deep bass is a completely new experience. Albums like "Space Is Only Noise" (Nicolas Jaar), "Rendez Vous 8:02" (Garde du Nord), "Beyond Skin" (Nitin Sawhney) or music from Ghostpoet is much more fun now.

Objectively, the cardioid design of the Geithains really works. When stepping behind the speakers the bass seems to be gone. I had a very sharp null in the frequency response of my ATCs at around 50 Hz. With the Geithains, there it is only a dip of a few dB. I know that they are now ideally positioned in my living room.

I still have a pair of ATC SCM11 and Genelecs 8330 plus Sub 7350: When I purchased the Genelecs I knew what low frequencies I was missing with the ATC SCM40s. Compared to the Geithains the Genelecs sound dryer to me. However, this might be due to the short listening distance of approx. 1 m. The ATC SCM40s were actually not a big improvement over the ATC SCM11s. The smaller speakers even have a flatter response in the mids...

The Geithains sound great, even if they cannot develop their full potential in my living room. Maybe I can change that in the future. The highlight for me is the natural sound of voices. Maybe the coaxial design is the reason for that...?

I’m using what I suppose are the stock studio stands for my RL901K pair. An aquired taste in looks but very practical as one can ‘tilt’, more or less on the fly, to the listening position. I’ve had many speakers in this room over a 25yr period including Naim DBL’s, 6+ pairs of Tannoy HPD, Gold, FSM et al, Cello actives, ATC 50asl, Harbeth SHL5 plus, Escalante Fremont Mk ll, Tannoy Legacy Arden and then these phenomenal things with their 16” bass which do everything so well….natural, dynamic, holographic, incredible vocals and a righteous bass performance, felt and heard. They work so well and satisfyingly at fairly low volumes with the sound staying in the room. I will have to downsize at some point but these are the height of my audio experience over nearly 45 yrs, the buck stops, apart from irrational desire to own Verity Audio speakers I don’t think these ME Geithain jobbies can be surpassed. I use a KR Audio P135 pre amp.

Glad these big babies are helping you explore the lower end of the musical spectrum, and thanks for naming a few albums I'll be digging into later with gluttony.
