Speaker Sound Upgrade to Ascilab C6B

Longtime music listener here.

Question: Will upgrading my speakers from Mordaunt Short Aviano 6 floor standing speakers to Ascilab C6B be a significant sound quality upgrade?

Background
Bought a Yamaha Surround Receiver in 2008, worked non stop for 17 years, upgraded in 2025 to a WiiM Ultra & 3e Audio A5 and the sound quality upgrade was a revolution.
Bought the Mordaunt Short Aviano 6 speakers new in 2010 and they still sound good to my ear. My ears have not heard many home hifi speakers and don't have the opportunity to travel (Ignorance is Bliss).

Current Speaker - Mordaunt Short Aviano 6 Specs - 88dB, 38Hz - 22kHz, 4-8 ohms, 2 x 6.5 CPC aluminum mid/bass, 1 aluminum dome tweeter Damped 2nd order with DVP, 15-150 Watts amplification, within 50mm of cabinet 950 x 205 x 298mm 38 x 8.2 x 11.9 17.3kg 38.1lbs
Room - one half of an open plan room. Music - Bill Evans to Body Count.

Any thoughts on this possible purchase?

Impossible to say without measurements of the Aviano 6.

All I was able to find is this graph, which supposedly shows the estimated in-room response.

Not terrible, but the Ascilab definitely does better there, see here.

Thanks for the response, I understand this type of question is subjective.

Not as subjective these days. New users seem to be gravitating to the Wiim Ultra and 3eaudio A5/A7 as an endgame value proposition that is tough to argue with even for long time audiophiles. I am personally buoyed by your choice of the A5 over the A7.
For speakers the Kef R3 meta on sale completes the search.
Holy grail instead of rabbit hole.

Speakers have progressed in quality quite a bit since 2010, on average. Of course there have always been standouts.

I don't know anything about the Mordaunts, but glancing at their design and pricing (£600) they look solidly low to mid-tier. Like Energy back in their day. Something that may have shaken up what was possible in that price range, but obviously wasn't trying to be a high-end speaker. If I'm right, then the C6B should be a solid upgrade considering the advancements that have been made in directivity control, driver design, etc.

The Ascilabs borrow a lot from the Buchardt S400 MKII's, which I own and cherish, so I have a pretty good idea of what I'd expect from the C6B.

Your current speakers are not a disaster but the Ascilab should be a noticeable upgrade.

significant or not would depend on how the speaker sounds in your room/what you prefer. Yours aren't incompetently made so they're alright but the Ascilabs are quite competently made and are excellent.

But even a 350 dollar desktop Adam D3V gives you 90% of the sound quality of the C6B. Only lacking in loudness, bass extension and imaging tightness. Speakers have come a long way from back in the day. As long as we get something with a nice, fairly smooth FR without noticeable distortion, we can really enjoy the output. Any decent speaker is good enough, just need to add a sub or two.

There's also the KEF Q Concerto Meta which has a darker signature than the C6B if you're treble sensitive or something. I find the design a lot more appealing and it's more widely available so there's that.
