New to the forum, but have read ~100 pages of measurements & discussion on the Revel lines of speakers (F208, F226, F228, F328).

I was looking at the F228 when I stumbled across the ASR measurements online. Looking at it from a cost & 'diminishing returns' perspective - based on the measurements - it seems like for a primarily HT setup - the F208, C208, couple subs & the money I could spend on the *be* line into a pre/pro, DAC and room treatments is a no brainer. My room is large, ~ 20x20 with 18 ft ceiling - so looking at a tower set up vs the high scoring bookshelf route.

Thoughts from forum? I'm looking through some other threads on speakers - but nothing jumps out at me so far. Also, the F208 line is ~30% off on the online retailers right now. I live in Houston, only looks like ~3 B&M - not sure if I can do comparison listening tests - but that's this afternoons project.

thanks in advance

Order one or two of the F208 and one or two of the M126be from Crutchfield and compare in your own room. Most you'll be out is $75 to return a pair of towers. This way you'll know if the upgraded components of the step up performa series is worth it.

Agreed, you're on the right track.

For that kind on money I’d be looking at the Neumann KH420, or Genelec 8361.

Youˋre right, the tuning frequency is extremely low here. A normal tuned BR design needs bigger ports, especially with high excursion woofers. 1/4 x Sd or more.

Oooooh I like the red one-what model is that? It came painted that way from the factory? (The others, also cool, but probably would not fit under my TV despite the bottom of the TV being about 4.5' off the floor)
Noesis 210RT. Yes. The picture was taken at JTR. He can probably do any color or veneer you want.

They all use the same coaxial compression driver in the horn.

Measurements of 212RT ( The middle one ):

JTR also makes shorter models you can use horizontally under your TV.

That's the 215RM. The biggest one. It has 15" woofers and goes down to 32 Hz in free air and below 20 Hz in room according to JTR.

Erin's Audio Corner did a review of the JTR 210HT.

Jim
Sadly that was the 2 way and not the 3 way with the coaxial compression driver.
I think Jeff wanted his 2 way measured with as good equipment as possible so he could make modifications to the crossover.
