Hello there,
I am constructing a new house and would like to place some speakers in the living and kitchen area of the home for some background music.
Here is the plan of what we are going to build: 1 meter = 3.3 feet
The surface area of the space there is around 46 square meters, or +- 500 square feet.
I was thinking about installing 6 speakers over here. When using them for background music, I think I am going to stick with mono audio. I want to place 2 speakers near the sofa, that could double as atmos speakers. It would be a pretty lame 2.1.2 system, as I don't really have room for surround speakers over here...
So far I have come up with the following placement of the speakers (the purple could potentially be used as atmos speakers as well):
I was planning to use the 6 inch kef speaker: kef ci160qr. I will also try to get 1 subwoofer in the system that can function as a sub for the 'whole house audio system' and for the television when the other speakers in the room aren't in use.
Do you guys/girls have any other insight in speaker placement or things I should watch out for?
Cheers!
(Empty plan if somebody has another idea and would like to draw on it
