Speaker-desk resonances

I have a pair of SB-CH515A speakers which I use on my desk but because they come in contact with the cable router(as seen in picture) they are positioned unstable. Also the small felt feet(few mm thick felt stickers) don’t isolate the speaker from the desk enough and the speakers resonate with the desk. They also create small but noticeable to the touch vibrations in the desk when bass is reproduced.

What would be the best way to fix the resonances and vibrations? Any specific tips or tricks? Please let me know.

I use cork pot stands from IKEA. Cheap and effective.

But anything cork or rubber will work great.

You need desktop speaker stands. Speakers will suffer from 'desk bounce' cancelations (and resonances / vibrations as you've noticed) if they're directly on the desk.

They won't help with desk bounce (I treated my desk to help with that) but I recently got tilted foam pads from mono price and they do remove resonances.

Interesting that they don't show butyl rubber on their graph - that's used in many industrial applications where damping is needed, not natural rubber or neoprene. Think anti-vibration mounts, railway primary suspension, car panel damping etc. It's usually used in shear rather than tension/compression where damping is needed.

Sylomer pads work fine.
