Spdif quality?

Not sure if this has been addressed before...

Are all spdif output remotely similar in quality?

I currently use the spdif output of the onboard soundcard of my computer into my DAC. Would the D10's usb to spdif output be of higher quality?

There are variations but the key is how good your DAC is in rejecting jitter and noise over S/PDIF. Most are very good.

I have done a few USB to S/PDIF converter reviews in the past....
