I created a small Windows application for spatial measurements with REW. All measurements are made and stored directly in REW; the application simply controls playback and routes the measurement signal to the selected speaker.
The Assisted mode is free for anyone who finds it useful. If you use REW Pro, an optional license upgrade enables fully automated measurements.

Spatial Sweep Controller - for REW is a focused Windows measurement controller
for routing REW-generated stereo measurement files to individual spatial
speaker objects.
The free version includes the complete Assisted workflow. Select the target
speaker in the controller, start File Playback measurement manually in REW, and
the controller starts the spatial playback when REW reports that it is waiting
for the acoustic timing reference.

### Supported speaker labels
L, C, R, LFE, SL, SR, BL, BR, TFL, TFR, TRL, TRR
TRL and TRR mean Top Rear Left and Top Rear Right.

A small update to Spatial Sweep Controller adds a few more advanced measurement tools.

The new Pairs mode can automatically measure speaker pairs with programmable delay offsets, making interference and timing experiments much faster.

There is also a new Directional 4-Sub experimental mode. It temporarily backs up Speaker Preset 1, configures the processor for directional subwoofer routing, measures the FL, FR, SL and SR paths separately with the 10–300 Hz sweep, and then restores and verifies the original settings. It has been tested successfully with a Denon AVR, but wider model compatibility is not guaranteed yet, so the process should still be supervised carefully.

These features are mainly useful for advanced measurements, so they require REW Pro and the controller’s Pro license.
