Hello.

I want to try the SoundGuys target but there are no measurements on the B&K 5128 for my IEM, is it valid to use the same parameters with the "711 JM-1Delta" that are a close approximation to the SoundGuys target on the B&K 5128. Thanks.

JM-1 parameters Tilt -0.6dB/Oct, +5dB Bass, -1dB Ear Gain.

Sure. The discrepancy above 8Khz isnt even a problem. That high up in frequency is where FR reacts highly with physical anatomic variation rendering granular target adherence a moot point.

Thanks, I usually just EQ up to 3-5KHz, I tried it but dropped the first filter I like a bit more bass than the SG curve, I liked the results it sounds more clear (focused?), the bass is cleaner and I think on the whole more "neutral" than without EQ but vocals become a bit thin and it caused me a little fatigue after a while, without EQ the sound is more relaxed and a bit more spacious, I'm going to try correcting just up to 1KHz and may play around with the rest by ear.
