Like many, I no longer get a lot of print media, but I still miss something about that (same as with physical audio media).

Sign of our times, I guess.

On one hand, it's inevitable and environmentally friendly to switch from print to online.

On the other hand, it saddens me a bit that everything is now "virtual": our documents are stored in a "cloud", magazines and books are all online, even music is streamed.

It saddens me because we will end up owning nothing - just paying for a service.

Thank God that through the years I was able to collect a few books, CDs and movies, all of them proudly on display in our living room bookcase.

There is still a feeling of excitement going through your collection of music and asking "What shall I listen to tonight? What am I in the mood for?"

When your paid print content is barely distinguishable from free web-based content it's the end of the line.

They did kind of turn into the “Sears” Catalog over the years. Lost focus on their audience and focused on the Audio Companies. Lessons in how to go out of business 101. ;)
