Just getting into it when they hit me with "subscription needed".

I take it they liked them, anyway?

I will post the whole thing but to cut to the chase,
“the Kii three is one of the finest speakers i’ve ever heard and undoubtedly the best i’ve ever had the privilege and pleasure of using in my own home.”

Keith

Phil Ward is a nice chap, I believe he has heard and reviewed a fair number of well respected loudspeakers, as soon as I obtain permission I will publish the entire review.
It is extremely positive.

In room measurments to back your subjective claims of 'best bass iv ever heard in my house/room' ...

Let's see just how loud and flat they really go:)

AndyU the ultimate 'fanboy' used to be Benchmark now its Chord, you have to wonder at someone like that's motivation ,such a ridiculous thing to say.
Again it is going to be difficult to accept, I expect more and more manufacturers will design speakers like the Kii THREE if they are capable. In doing so of course they make the rest of their range totally redundant , full range in a light compact package ,which can be placed anywhere in the room and adjusted to taste.
Re the loudness they play far far louder than would be healthy I can't detect any added distortion bass remains the tautest most incisive I have ever heard.
Even better then EQing traditional loudspeakers .

Can we have the in room measurments that support this please..

That's all that's needed, like Ray has posted when exploring his new little JBL's.

Or you can send Ray a pair and he will no doubt 'centeral Scrutinizer ' them for you.. If they perform as you say then it will be promotional material for the speakers..

Thanks Keith , that's a start:)

( no illusonic room correction obviously, just plain unadulterated signal in to the speaker)

I should have posted them before as Amir knows I struggled with the latest Beta release of REW , all sorted now so after Christmas I will post some pretty overlays .
The ATCs have no boundary filters so they were dragged away from the corners, and I set the Kiis boundary filters to free field , ifI has set the Kiis more to 'corner' I probably could have obtained a smoother bass response but this was most 'like for like'.
If you discount the 37Hz peak both responses aren't bad got an untreated domestic room.

I'd tentatively suggest after getting optimum results deliberately put the kii three into the worst area of you room to show off thier abilities to nullify such traditionally compromising in room placement.

You can create a special thread for these measurements , as its objective you can post it in the speaker area rather than down here.

I'm sure the members will enjoy the results and if you would be so kind to entertain their various suggestions in regard to the scope of the measurments and how they want them to be displayed that would be fantastic.

If your passing me with a pair, pop in.. We can measure my obsolete G3's and compare those measurments with what the kii three manages in my room..

Il happily share my irrelevant subjective opinions along with the data:)

The Kiis can be adjusted to be placed anywhere, they have boundary filters for 'free field' ,'wall' and ''corner " and anything in between, I thought that I measured the ATCs in the corners there would be shouts of foul as they really aren't designed for corner placement, the Kiis actively enjoy it as they get a bit more headroom .

I will pop by with my barrow!

I note this piece in the review,

The manner in which the Kii Three
so explicitly presents audio detail has
something of the character of headphone
listening about it. Imagine the sound of
a really great pair of headphones, then
delete the discomfort of wearing them
and replace the ‘inside the head’ effect
with audio spread out in sharp focus
before you.

That's what it's about - and why I haven't the slightest interest in headphones; they never add anything to the equation.
