Sony XBP-U800 DSD to DAC on the cheap?

I've got a Sony XBP-U800 and I want to use it with my 2-channel system. Unfortunately, there are no analog outputs on the Sony. What's the best way to do this?

I think I could set the Sony to output PCM, get an HDMI audio extractor and hook it up that way, is that my best option or is there some way to get the DSD to a DSD capable DAC?

DACs with HDMI seem to be few and far between except for those built into AVRs. I've got a spare Topping D10 but that only has USB in, are there any reasonable SPDIF to USB things? Or should I just get an AVR and use the pre-outs?

If you're fine with converting DSD to PCM, then at that point just use the SPDIF Coax output.

To get DSD into your DAC natively, you can either buy a big receiver or AVR that natively supports DSD via HDMI input, or you can buy an HDMI to i2s converter and a desktop DAC with i2s input, but be prepared for the PITA that is troubleshooting an i2s via HDMI connection.

You also need to know, as I've learned, some AVRs (the one I own) will not send audio that arrives via digital signals to the analog outputs :/

Converting digital signals to analog is a core function of any AVR, making this rather difficult to believe.

I know, right? Here's what the manual says:

• The XM Satellite Radio and SIRIUS Satellite Radio signals cannot be output at the AUDIO OUT (REC) jacks.
• Digital signals input at the DIGITAL INPUT jacks are not output at the analog AUDIO OUT (REC) jacks for recording.
• Check the copyright laws in your country to record from CDs, radio, etc. Recording of copyrighted material may infringe copyright laws.

It's a Yamaha RX-V663, so maybe 2008 vintage? Have things improved since then?
