QC quick change came before PD and they were and are rival standards. Later PD got much higher adoption so QC gave up. Those all have very small batteries and don't really need any kind of fast charging, plane standard one goes up to 5V 2A and most don't even support that much. Jack/port shape doesn't make any difference, standard behind it might but keep in mind most Android handsets are still on USB 2.0 only with USB C. Only thing without single QC part that suport both to my better knowledge are Chinese phones like Xiaomi (even with MTK SoC).Qualcomm devices all support PD. PD was never a rival to QC because QC is a quick charge platform that was on USB-A and it also works with USB-C. So there would be no reason that USB-C PD wouldn't work.
