My question is not what to buy but rather which reviewer to trust.

I was planning to upgrade from Sony SSCS5 to Klipsch 600M II but then saw a Cheapaudio review and as per him Klipsch 600M II are not good. But then I saw few other reviewers that praise this speaker. Also there are few who likes everything they listen to like Steve. Don't know whom to trust.

Want to invest 1000 USD in speakers and don't understand all these graphs and also don't have the option to demo as well in my country. Have to buy solely on the review and feedback. I personally don't like harsh speakers. Enjoy clarity and soundstage. Will be using them in my medium size living room.

All confused abt what to buy. Any suggestions please about speakers or which reviewer should I trust.

you can compare the measurement from the same reviewer on these links

It show that klipsch 600M II offer improvement on low freq and a little bit smoother for overall.
Sorry for the layman question again -
Does this mean that 600 M II are slightly better then Sony ones. That's means that 600 M II is not an upgrade for Sony SSCS5.

Hi Noob, Is wine A "better" than wine B? Is a filet mignon "better" than a New York strip steak? I think you need to hold off on thinking that the term "better" has much real meaning in hifi. What you need is a speaker that sounds "better" to you. Yes, here at ASR, we will talk about "better" frequency response, "better" directivity, etc. Those things are objective and measurable. What isn't objective and measurable is how much you enjoy listening to the speaker in question. Measurements may or may not be a good guide. So to ask a question like:

"Does this mean that the 600M are slightly better than Sony ones?"

...has no real meaning. If one of those speakers measures "better" than the other, some will prefer it because they value the accuracy that is reflected in the measurements. Some, however, may actually prefer the sound of the "worse" measuring speaker.

I understand the frustration of being unable to listen to speakers before making a purchase, but many of us are faced with this problem. I think the best you can do is read and listen to every source you can, make a decision, then buy from a dealer who has a good return policy.

You ask what reviewers you can trust. Nobody can tell you that. Understand that you can trust most reviewers ONLY to offer an opinion, not to pronounce ultimate truths. You'd really have to buy a few of the components they review to see if you agree with their opinions or not. That's expensive, but I don't know how else you can determine whether you share tastes with a reviewer. I certainly wouldn't even try.

In any case, I wish you luck!

P.S.: I'd ignore comments like those of the CheapAudioMan when he says something is bad. In more than 50 years of this hobby, I have not heard a component that sounds truly bad, only ones that sound more or less like what I think of as the sound of music.

Let me expand on my own advice regarding trust of reviewers. Two reviewers I know of can be trusted to offer objective measurements: ASR's own Amir and Erin at Erin's Audio Corner. While the measurements they offer can be trusted, what about the subjective opinions they both also tend to offer? I'd say no, because it's impossible to say that you will hear the same things they hear in a speaker.

Which country?

For that budget, the current hot ticket is Ascilab F6b or C6b. Expert (Klippel) measurements and reviews are here on ASR or Erin's corner. YouTube reviewers are unlikely to help.
