http://www.ebaystores.com.au/sonyaustralia Lots of Sony bargains.

I ordered a Sony BDP S6700 for $AU100($US70). Elsewhere $AU200. Last one of 175.

BD, SACD, etc. plus streaming of internet sound and video. (No RCAs).

Also ordered a Sony KDX8500E(superseded model) TV. RRP $AU2300 Paid $AU1100. Lots of TVs listed.

A great cheapskate day. :)

Terrific machines these "budget" Sony Blu-ray players ... :D

I have got the BDP-S7200 as back-up for my Oppo 105 Darbee, for 150 EUR in 2016, so 1/10th of the EUR amount I paid for the Oppo ...
Projecting the Full HD movie on a 50" screen, yes you notice that the one from the Oppo is a little bit better ... but that is to account in favor of the Darbee's processor most of all ...
Sound quality-wise, listening CDs, SACDs or Blu-ray Pure Audio discs, played by either the Sony or the Oppo, via my Beyerdynamic HBC1 DAC/headphone amplifier thru the coax connection ... well the Sony is hard to beat for its value for money ...

The point goes back to the eternal question : does the price difference (10:1 in my case) back up a performance increase worth the same ratio ? Not at all !!!

I love these marketing attitudes, Sony is perhaps the best example, with their clear goal to "democratizing" the technological development ... :)
