The true audiophile requires a DAP with digital output, a portable DAC and portable headphone amp. Does this DAP even have digital out?

It has a USB-C port so maybe.

I would like to see the science behind this claim: "For the first time, Sony has begun using a reflow solder containing gold, whose effect is significant in the overall improved sound localisation and wider sound space."

Along with its amplifier, Sony also uses its DSEE Ultimate AI algorithm to upscale sound quality in real-time. Sony claims it can upscale 44.1kHz/16 bit sound (CD quality) to 192kHz/32 bit...

"dude trust me"

you can always go for the entry level unit for just $1,600. I wonder how many they will sell.

When I was in business school, Akio Morita, founder of Sony, came and gave a marvelous, humorous, insightful and almost humble talk about Sony and him, inextricably linked.

I wonder what his soul is thinking of his beloved company now. He was so charming! He had the entire student body enthralled.

It sounds as if it might be the very best in AI algorithms, beating all the other AI algorithms.

I claim the same, and i will top them by using nothing but zeros and ones!

Oy, yoy. I'm struggling to even justify buying one of the new $30 dap's since I have a small fleet of SD-card playing old Blackberry 10 units and my still-ticking iPod Nano 3rd gen, for times when I want to not drain my iPhone. I guess for those who gotta use FLAC files even for remote listening?

Now if Sony would come out with a new cassette Walkman...that would be news...!

I just found an old box of 8 tracks in my basement the other week, so I'm waiting for that resurgence.
