Hi, first post.

I have done some reading of this forum, and despite that still need some help! I have sonos system, inc. Sonos Port connected to turntable. Would like to listen via headphones and therefore need separate headphone amp. Have Rega P3, connected to phono stage, in turn connected to Sonos Port, which would connect to the amp (via Port of from phono stage).

I could do phono stage to Fiio K7 and then, I assume, via rca line out on on K7 on to the Sonos Port, and could then do Coax digital out from Port to K7 also for streaming (would this be better than from iPhone to K7?). (Port has RCA in, RCA out and Coax digital out).

Or I could do phono stage to headphone amp (with RCA splitter to Port or amp with Pre out and onto Port).

Or, I could just do digital out via Coax to Fiio K11 or any other such DacAmp.

Questions is, if I did the latter, given turntable into Port will require ADC and then DAC inside Port, and then back to headphone amp via Coax, would the sound be any different (better) if i avoided that and went from turntable to headphone amp?

Totally appreciate much of this would depend on headphones I am using, but if we ignore this aspect, does anyone have an opinion?

Any other (low end) DacAmps that have line in/out and Coax in that could be recommended?

Many thanks in advance for any help given.
