Hi everyone,

I've been developing Sonexis, a free real-time system-wide audio processing app for macOS. I'm sharing this here because I'd love to hear thoughts and feedback from y'all.

Sonexis lets you build custom audio processing chains using a visual node editor. Effects can be connected in series or parallel, the left and right channels can be processed independently, and individual apps can have their own separate effect chains. Sonexis includes 20+ built-in effects and also comes with Audio Unit support, so you can create a virtually endless amount of chains.

Sonexis captures system and application audio using Apple’s Core Audio Process Tap API, so no virtual audio driver needs to be installed.

I'd love to hear any feedback or answer any questions, whether it's technical (audio quality, audible , gain/clipping behavior) or from a UX perspective.

Thank you for reading!

Good effort. The built in effects aren't much help, just atmospheric stuff for the most part - can you implement a proper PEQ instead of the basic EQ?

On a positive note - you've created a pretty good AU host which is good for plugins that can process FIR corrections or PEQ on their own. A few plugins crashed the app when I tried to view them but 2 different reverb convolvers worked. Any way to expose virtual cables for input and output or multiple outputs? That would make the app more flexible for a variety signal processing.
