A Virustotal scan gives the site a clean bill of health.

Looking at the account name it might be Dan (band leader according to the site) himself plugging his album.

That would be correct . . . . although the term "plugging" suggests "selling" . . . u can hear it via the site's Youtube videos. I thought this site was about sharing information? Forget it . . . I'll delete the post.

I was not implying selling. I was going with this meaning "a recommendation or other favourable mention of a product, show, etc, as on television, on radio, or in newspapers".

Reading the site it looks like you don't take it/yourself too seriously (which is good). You had me at the lyrics blurp about critical brainwaves...started out serious and then gotcha. Leaves me wondering how much was true about the first bit.
