Anyone here ever read Hans Jenny's Cymatics (1967 & 1972) or Ernst Chladni's Treatise on Acoustics (1809)? The former coined the term while the latter originated the experiments for visualizing sonic vibrations.

Nope, never heard of either one. Might try and get copies of them.
