Unless I'm not seeing the right listing, all DX1 II currently on any EU amazon are sold & shipped by LEAUDIO or HIFI COLLEGE store in China so you might as well order it cheaper from authorized dealer storefronts like Shenzhen Audio or wait for actual EU based dealers to receive stock. Those CN based stores will eventually get stock in Amazon warehouses and sell as fulfilled by Amazon, but warranty service (through EU 2 year guarantee rather than manufacturer warranty) still isn't handled by Amazon.they showed up on amazon(dot)it yesterday![]()
To answer my own questions, the USB interface explicitly supports hot-plug so it shouldn't be a problem. The other DAC that apparently disallows channel balance adjustment is the Fiio K11 R2R due to the internal hardware, judging by an official Fiio forum post. Whereas I would expect the DX1 II not to have that issue given the PEQ feature supports independent channel profiles.Noob here. Are there any concerns about hot-plugging the USB power? There doesn't seem to be a power off function on the device, only a standby mode. I currently have an AudioEngine D1 DAC and I hot-plug it all the time.
Further questions. I have the Linux/Windows channel balance adjusted. With the DX1 II, is the channel balance still adjustable? I could be wrong but I recall a report of another DAC where the channel balance can't be adjusted in Windows. Even better, am I right in assuming the PEQ preamp gain can be used to adjust channel balance? Is conversion of the Linux/Windows balance percentage to Topping Tune as simple as turning the volume down to figure out the minimum, then calculating an equivalent dB percentage of the volume range?
