I hope Topping have sent one to Amir.... this is giving me vibes of his reaction to the first JDS Labs Atom amp.

I have a friend interested in my DX1 original - it's excellent on my PC.
I'm happy to gift it to him and buy the MK2 version.
Why bother? Well, while I have never been interested in EQ (I hate fiddling, which is what I might do, given my large collection of music, not all of which has a good mix), I might try the EQ features for fun.

"Why bother?" is also the question i've been asking myself. I currently use the D10s hooked up to the Atom mk1. Major downside to me? No power button. Power over USB like the DX1, but the PC itself is never turned off (it's more like a server), so to save energy, i'm always removing/plugging in the USB-B cable from the back. I would love a power button for convinience!
Most importantly, I sometimes get random audio stutter at the start of tracks (not grounding related), so something is actually wrong with my D10s, so this DX1 ii looks like an awesome upgrade

No issues on my 13 yo laptop using my DX1 (mark 1) or if I use it with my cheapo (but fab) Android phone. Rock solid, so long as I don't bump the connectors, with say a guitar or a glass etc!

Sometimes I use a direct USB-A port on the laptop (it's so old, that's all it has, but high current), sometimes via my powered USB strip with individual switches, depending on what demented experiments I'm doing on the day.

If my laptop is on, it's usual that I want audio too, so a power button on USB device is not needed for me.
