I'm going to pick up an he400se stealth, a 4 pole headset mic cable for it, and this bad boy once it releases to get my wife into the hobby on a budget, ha! I'm eagerly awaiting this release, looks like the topping store website has a banner right now announcing it should release fairly soon.
I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention.

It's a modern dongle, features and price, in a desktop form. Just like its predecessor.

Officially launched.

Officially launched.

It's not listed on their affiliated stores yet.

Even it is not yet available for orders in Topping official store in taobao China.
I am very interested in it.

Well that looks like a no brainer indeed. "Gaming" even implies good latency performance? I like

Uh, this would be a way to get both optical and USB input on many Wiim products. USB from the PC, optical to the DX1 II from say a CD-player (or TV) and then connect the DX1 II optically to the Wiim. In the process also get a headphone amp which the Wiim Amp (Ultra) lacks.

Killer.

I'm not up on Topping in general, that's no secret, but packing so much performance and functionality (even balanced! ) at a 10 cm x 10cm case is really something!

(and now begins the 6 months-long waiting)

Noob question about the 4.4mm pentacon line-out jack at the rear: Does it share the same pinout as the headphone equivalent?

For others to beta-test? :D

I'll volunteer
That's for all cheap gear, and it goes up with price reaching 2-years for the big stuff!

(I do like blowing up stuff but at my DIY realm, for ready-made ones I prefer solid and safe)

((at the danger of feeding the anti-ASR trolls, I don't want it for music but as a signal generator for non-acoustic measurements, its small size makes it suitable.
I'm searching for something solid and reliable for the last 3 years, to no-avail))
