Is the difference switching to balanced noticeable? Do you have long interconnects? If so, do you notice a lot less noise/lower noise floor?

Is the volume any louder prior to what you were used to with the unbalanced setup?

I am debating myself to switch to balanced or not... thanks for your answers.

Mostly personal preference, but also to avoid ground loop issues. Many amps have higher output on their balanced outs, so yes, it can result in sounding "louder" than single-ended until you adjust the volume. My interconnects are less than 1 meter long.
