YesTilted down?
Tilted enough so that the tweeter perpendicular axis hits my ear when I sit down on my sofa. How much did you elevate the rear?
I have no idea, why it matters? What is your ear height in listening position?

I guess since I don't know the distance from the tweeter to your ear, the height doesn't actually matter. I asked because I was trying to figure how much off axis I can be and still be within that angle at my listening position of 10'. Perhaps if you can look at what I came up with in post #100 and give me a reality check, it would be welcomed.I have no idea, why it matters?
Get one of these or similar.I guess since I don't know the distance from the tweeter to your ear, the height doesn't actually matter. My tweeter is 4.5 ft from back wall. Lucky I have a rather large room.Questions for current owners of the Salon 2, how far from the back wall are you placing them for optimum bass response? Are you measuring from the tweeter or the back of the cabinet?
Do we know the dispersion angle from the tweeter to calculate the if my ear is on axis at 10' away and 36" from the ground?Mine is 3 or so feet from back wall (from the back of the speaker). You need to use EQ for bass anyway. The issue with Salon 2 is that its tweeter is pretty high. So you need to sit far enough back as otherwise, you are way off axis. I am probably 15 feet away.
It changes with frequency (duh!). You can get an idea from the Stereophile measurements.Do we know the dispersion angle from the tweeter to calculate the if my ear is on axis at 10' away and 36" from the ground?
Me!Tempting…anyone in Chicago interested in a pair of mahogany Gem2’s on pedestal stands?
Congratulations! You got them for a low price.Shipping is going to be a lot, probably around $1000-$1500.
I recently snagged a new Mahogany pair for $15k free shipping.
Wowowow! Very exciting. I would be so stoked to have Salon 2s @ home.Ok... I moved the needle as far as I could. I inflated the tires on the hand truck to handle their max capacity of 300 lbs. This load is about 180 and it only needs to go 20 ft. It's ready and waiting for the muscle to arrive on Monday. I spent the week changing the room and getting ready. I'm ready. If you can't seize these moments... which ones can you?

This is like deja vu for me. I had to buy a hand truck when I got my salon2 to bring it in the house.Ok... I moved the needle as far as I could. They are. These are... bigger.... 58x32x18I thought the F208 boxes were big....
You have far more discipline than I-those would have been unboxed and playing within an hour or so of their arrival-and I would have a bad backache but blissfully unaware while listening to them. They are. These are... bigger.... 58x32x18
