Is a 14.3’x16.6’x8’ room able to do them justice?

Statement loudspeakers from the big manufacturers always get blown out cheap at the end. Sometimes it's a dozen pairs 'found' in a warehouse, other times it's stock sitting in retailers that was double shipped/incorrect colour and credits were processed but not collected.

The retailers who have the best relationships with the reps/company often get first pick of those special finds at stupid prices. You can bet Sean at IQ is one of those guys and is making a very decent margin, even at half retail.

I say, grab them while you can. USD$12k is a bargain that you'll be talking about for years, instead of kicking yourself for not taking advantage of.
John, what's your opinion regarding a Mac MC7300 driving these sufficiently?

Walt, congrats. I was the guy in Vegas that spoke to you about buying your 328Be's. (You declined to share the $ of your deal on the Salons... lol) The opportunity to buy these helped me bust through my comfort zone of what I can spend on speakers. Endgame for old guys... lol.
Having listened to both in my home made me realize just how good the 328 is, doesn’t dig quite as deep as the Salon but nevertheless is a worthy contender.
The rule of diminishing returns is definitely evident here.
(ps: I am selling my 328’s for $8500 if anyone is interested).
I try to protect the relationship I have with my dealers by not disclosing negotiated prices.

Do you know the dimensions of the box that the Salon came in? I'm measuring doors to make sure that I can get it in the house. I know the boxes for the 328Be are 2'x3'x5', what about the Salons?

These are likely new speakers, old stock. Salon2 are no longer in production.

Great deal, grab them quick, prices may go up once they are completely gone.

They are not old stock. This order was placed by the dealer to Revel during the pandemic and only delivered 6-8 weeks ago. The store owner said that these were part of the very last production run. According to the store owner, and a few "in the know" on ASR, these are now, in fact, out of production. When these are gone... they're.... (fill in the blank).

I tried to buy a pair a year ago, my Revel dealer told me they are out of production for "some time." He claims to be one of the proliferated Revel dealer in US. I ended up with a F226Be to hold me over until I buy something else.

That matches up with the story that my dealer told me that he waited for more than a year and half while they weren't being produced. Your timeline fits right into that. I guess the supply chain caught up and they finished what they started pre 2020. That's my theory and I'm stickin' with it... lol. I made a big leap from the 208s to the Salons... but lot's of others before that. I couldn't pass up the combination of price and full warranty. Do you know what you want after the 226Be?

I sold me F226Be couple of months ago. I have the Perlisten S7t coming in, in about couple of weeks.

I do. I am simply not capable of moving them and getting them to measurement place/point (it is two stairs up). I had white glove delivery service when they arrived as they are extremely heavy and slippery. I wish there was a local service with fair prices that would just come and move things for me. It is stopping me from getting heavy speaker for testing.

Some version of this? There are normal hand-truck models as well.

I'd think that his company Madrona would have guys used to handling heavy and expensive gear? I hired a company that does HT installations to help with unpacking and setting these up. 2 guys, 2 hours, 2 hundred $, 2 good.

I bought one. For $2,000 no less! Alas, it is not suitable for carrying a delicate speaker that is not stable either. It also is kind of tricky to use and requires a lot of space to turn and such. Mine has been sitting in the garage eating dust. :(

The guys are so busy I can't get time of day from them let alone come and help me move things!
