I do not need to introduce this receiver. It is the best of what Denon makes, actually Made in Japan. I went two channel and bought Denon's 110 anniversary integrated. I can do a video session to demonstrate every feature working for you.

Price is $2900 plus actual shipping in cont. US or local pickup around Raleigh, NC.

My understanding this is the one with AKM DACs which makes it highly desirable.

Theory goes that all receivers and amplifiers sound the same. In my highly subjective A and B testing of X8500H vs. X3600H in 2-channel configuration driving Revel floorstanders streaming DSF files, there is no comparison, X8500H is "effortless" and very dynamic, X3600H which was also measured well by Audio Science Review is "strained" and I would say even harsh. Same exact everything in the A/B setup. I trust my ears.

Switching to local sale only. Did the quotes to ship via UPS and FedEx and 71 lbs box insured for $3000 is no longer pragmatic. Shipping has spun out of control these days.

I've been considering the integrated Denon anniversary. What I'm wondering about is the power. 80 W per channel at 8 ohms? Sounds kinda weak. It's supposed to have ultrahigh current capability, that suggests to me it is getting more power. How does it drive your speakers?
