Does anyone have recommendations for relatively software (Windows) that can add a tube-amp-like sound at the system level for musical enjoyment? Like a VST into EqualizerAPO (if possible?).
I've long considered adding a tube headphone amplifier for my hd650 secondary setup, but I've never had the chance to thoroughly listen to tube amps enough to see whether I enjoy them. Rather than drop the money blindly I was inspired to look for a digital option by a couple posts here (Thread/Specifically #4, #18 in particular), which named some I have no experience with: UA Fairchild, iZotope Plasma, Fabfilter Saturn 2, IK Multimedia Saturator X, Ozone 11 Exciter, and Waves Magma BB Tubes. I may even have access to some already, but I don't know the software yet - maybe T-RackS has Saturator X, Arturia FX, or Komplete has a version to try?
