Here's my use case:
I'm connecting an Appletv to a Fosi v3. I'd like to use an HDMI splitter (or switch) and take advantage of the 3.5mm audio out. Why? I'd rather not buy yet another box (a DAC) to put between the streamer and the amp.
How am I using this? As an endpoint for youtube streams and files on my phone and PC. (I'm not connecting a TV.)
Why am I being so cheap? My budget is small.
Do you have any experience with HDMI extractors, splitters, or switches that aren't noticeably bad?
