...i genuinely think he is actually completely delusional and truly believes it....

In this particular guy's "defense" (if you can even call it that) i genuinely think he is actually completely delusional and truly believes it. He was actually sobbing, getting down on his knees, and crying when recounting the story. Very convincing if you were even on the edge of trusting "tweak" culture.

Either that, or, he needs an acting agent ASAP because it was an oscar-worthy pity/guilt-tripping performance.

It's really a shame that the topic of religion is so insanely volatile, and a big no-no on this forum, when the parallels are blindingly obvious.

I have a feeling that most of this neverending "subjectivist" vs. "objectivist" debate really just boils down to ENFJ vs. ISTP.

Acting agent. I've encountered him before and he struck me as absolutely dishonest. Excerpt from the writeup on the 2017 AXPONA that appeared in AudioXpress:

At High Fidelity Cables (http://www.highfidelitycables.com/), the inventor of their special magnetic cables put on a whole medicine show with explanations of how conductivity works that would come as a surprise to anyone with a physics background. The talk and Q&A afterward emphasized that the investors were aggressive litigation attorneys, so I’ll merely quote from my conversation about their MC-0.5. “We call this ‘the Skepticism Eliminator.’ Plug it into the wall socket and it reduces noise in all of the other circuits in the room.” I asked the obvious question, “OK, so if I attach a spectrum analyzer to this wall socket, then plug the MC-0.5 into another socket, I’ll see the noise spectrum reduce in amplitude?” This was also not the right question to ask, apparently, because there’s noise that we can hear but not measure. I was told again about their investors being litigation attorneys.

Take a look here. Sorry there is not an English version of their website, so many things to learn and many things to buy to improve the sound quality of your setup! Same rocks, magical liquids, a violin to place on top of your speakers...
I am sure I can reach the podium in this 3d.

Is the violin part of the "tuning"? I dont get it. Maybe April 1st Amir can do a watermelon on top of the amp measurement. Sounds juicy.

Well that's a new one!

... and here was me thinking I'd seen most silly tweaks.

JSmith

I suppose that's for listening to solo violin. They say there's a viola too. By that logic for the upright bass you should mount you woofer on one or a couple of them.

I don't know how I'm going to put a scooter on top of each speaker to listen to Quadrophenia.

Obviously some form of motorized system is necessary to rotate the appropriate object on top of the speakers, depending on the music.

Sorry there is not an English version of their website,
Top left is a drop menu to change the language to English.
Looks to be an Italian relation of Synergistic Research.

But you put an helmet on one of your speaker. Could mean that somehow you follow that philosophy?
