ironically the output level can be set to 4 or 5v according to the spiel
but i could not find anything in the manual
Oh, that's a good thing. At least one SMSL unit has a 4 or 5v switch underneath the unit, perhaps it's true for this one as well.

I also couldn't find the 4V or 5V switch, and there is no mention of it in their product information. Perhaps this feature was removed before it was released to the market.

The picture is not accurate. You can't switch the output level.@SMSL-Mandy : how is the volume control done ?
analog or digital ?
maybe fully analog with some kind of r2r ladder circuit ?
how can I pre-select the max output level for line output (symmetrical-XLR and unbalanced-cinch(RCA))
if possible at all ?

Sorry, this design has been cancelled, the artist made the wrong picture and there is no choice of 4v and 5VI also couldn't find the 4V or 5V switch, and there is no mention of it in their product information. Perhaps this feature was removed before it was released to the market.
Information is currently available on hifi-express.com. That promotional image was done by art designer and was not verified.I also couldn't find the 4V or 5V switch, and there is no mention of it in their product information. Perhaps this feature was removed before it was released to the market.

how is the volume control done/realized technically in the circuit ?The number on the decoder shows the current volume, and the volume can be adjusted by means of a knob
Good question, from specs and pictures DL100 is actually around 25mm less wide than DL200, a bit funny considering that it has more connections and XLR instead of TRS, it indeed appears more crowded in the back.this is the combo DL200 AL200 case so I dont know why they just didnt go XLR on the ESS and AKM variants???
Chip, interface, shapeWhat is the difference between DL200 and DL100?
more or less the same price. they vary 10 euro. I wonder what the point is of two such similar devices. The only addition is the HDMI ARCChip, interface, shape
As far as I understand, if you need XLR output and high-power headphone amplifier, then choose DL100. If you think TRS6.35mm balanced output is more suitable for you, then choose DL200. And the headphone amplifier performance of DL200 is not that good. What is the difference between DL200 and DL100?
