You mean trying period? It sent it back, because the guarantee period was about to end. That's customer support nowadays: RMA ticket. How do you reflash with the app?

Yes, I tried it about four times with different cables and USB ports.
Really quite amazing how responsive these companies are to internet feedback. I think I ordered mine in January not long after they came out. They’ve covered the main points that undecided buyers have been chewing over and it is only April. Any idea when it will be released? It does mention a higher price. If it’s like $120-$130 or something, I’ll jump at buying one.
It’s funny how they mention the PL100’s “legacy,” as though it’s been out for years or something.Really quite amazing how responsive these companies are to internet feedback. Edited to add that if they have moved the display to the right of the slot then it appears the unit will be wider. I’m interested to find out what they’ve done there.
The best thing about was this: "Mafia Quarantined Audio"MQA went bust. All that symbol tells you now is that it can decode files that were MQA encoded.

that would be fine.Yes, the photo is a bit of a tease.. Of course the display could be on the right side of the player, since that side of the player is cut off in the image.
This may be an unfortunate timeframe, if nothing major happens with the China tariffs. Or, will this fall under the classification of electronics that are exempt from the astronomical tariffs?I emailed SMSL about PL150 availability.
They were ”hopeful” it’ll be on sale at the end of next month.

Edit:
Haven't found an original source, but according to Google AIdisc drives are exempt. :
Specifically, the following electronic goods were exempted from the reciprocal tariffs imposed on China:
- Smartphones
- Computers and laptops
- Memory cards
- Semiconductor devices
- Solar cells
- Modems
- Routers
- Flat panel displays
- Automatic data processing equipment
- Disc drives
It's not a data disc drive, but hopefully it still qualifies or they're not smart enough to differentiate.![]()
Yeah, to be honest, I don't understand using the "semiconductor" designation for everything lately. No one is talking about the raw form of silicon or germanium. You hear it in financial news, etc. They presumably just mean microchips, right? So why not go with that? It's fewer syllables."
So most things then?
- Semiconductor devices"
If it’s pitched between the 100 with a small display and the 200 with a large display then my guess is they will have.Hmm, hope they kept the display for PL150
