it's the black one.
What do you mean? The buttons don’t have any travel by design.the buttons tend to stay stucked once pressed.
not completely happy for now.
Nope, doesn't run. SMSL are no good with firmware updates.got a firmware from smsl, but can't get the program to run.
do you want to try ?
the files sent in the zip are not good except for IAP_PL100_1v1_b250219.hex
go to smsl (https://www.smsl-audio.com/portal/product/downlist/id/13.html) and download the d400 pro v2.0 firmware.
unzip 202408071129432551.zip
delete IAP_DO200PRO_1V2.hex
unzip ISP_PC_EN2.zip
delete MM32F103xx_o.hex
copy IAP_PL100_1v1_b250219.hex in the folder
run ispV2.4.exe
in the top right, choose IAP for device.
i chose 115200 for baudrate but maybe 256000 works too ?
hold the stop button while plugging the player to your computer, hold it 5-10 seconds then release.
the screen should stay blank, if not try again.
in the program choose file/open and choose IAP_PL100_1v1_b250219.hex
wait a bit maybe 30 seconds.
options/connect
and then click start program, it does the thing, at the end options/disconnect.
i get v1.1 on the boot up screen.
it works !
i admit it seems scary but i'm happy i did it !
OK. I succeeded. But I did a few things differently. I downloaded DO400 MCU V1.0.zip
Extracted it. Threw away the hex file inside this zip. Added the pl100 1.1 hex file into the folder.
Ran ispV2.4, it starts (woohoo)
Set IAP and 115200
Loaded the hex file (faster than 30seconds on my system)
Held in the stop button as I put in the USB cable, screen stays off
Went to options connect, which now established a connection between PC and PL100
Pushed start program, waited for 30 seconds or so and 1.1 lights up on the screen
And well, thanks for the help, but it shouldn't be this much of a problem to install a damn firmware
And also, what exactly has changed?
Input, you mean on the PC? I connected to USB 2.0 on the back of the PC with a USB cable I know works. What an absolute mess of a process to update firmware...
And which USB input do you use?
Input, you mean on the PC? I connected to USB 2.0 on the back of the PC with a USB cable I know works.
For some reason my very new Xiaomi 15 Ultra phone can't send files through USB if I use USB 3.x or 4.x, so I went with USB2.0 port because I know this works.
The problem that it does not read CD after standby. It made things worse for me.
