Ok my unit has started the pops as well, and it does it whenever i skip forward in YouTube videos. It's quite unbearable.

Do we know if this is a hardware issue, i.e unfixable?

Curious if you updated the firmware?

Very odd. Do they post any changelog or additional information about this firmware? How do you even update the firmware on this unit?

No changelog as far as I have seen. Update procedure is described in the .zip File, i have not done it though since i don't experience any issues with my unit.

I have updated the firmware. Pretty easy process. However the issue is still not fixed. Loads of pops. Actually there are now pops when stuff loads on my computer now such as a new page, etc... pretty annoying

You do have this fix in place, correct?

To be honest I dont even have that thing downloaded. Is it a must?
The DAC does work without the driver but you could try it out if this will fix the problem you are facing.

I wonder if it would click using USB-C output from Wiim Ultra? No way to install the ASIO driver like on a PC.

Same for me…sound crackles the first two seconds of a new song (qobuz via usb) also after update of firmware; this happens not with all changes of songs; simply not predictable yet for me when it will happen…yes I also hear plops when changing songs.

Don't order with quick shipping though as this increases chances of having to pay toll, extra taxes etc
