Hi! I have two media players (Raspberry Pi + Digi card) with I2S-HDMI output. Pinout outputs Player 1 - Pics.1 and Player 2 - Pics.2
Both players work fine with the SMSL SU-10 DAC. Pinout of its I2S-HDMI SU-10 input Pics.3
SMSL SU-10 perfectly reproduces sound through I2S-HDMI. Player 1 is up to PCM384, and DSD128 Native and DoP, Player 2 is up to PCM384, and DSD128 DoP.
I also have a DAC Topping D70s. With it, both players also play great through the I2S-HDMI input.

I recently bought an SMSL RAW DAC1 dac. It also has an I2S-HDMI input, Pics. 4
But both players 1 and 2 do not play with this SMSL RAW DAC1.
If you turn on PCM, then both speakers are silent. If you turn on DSD, then there is a quiet distorted sound in one speaker, and a hiss in the other speaker. In both cases, the display shows "DSD 2.8".

Perhaps SMSL representatives will read this post and fix this problem with a new firmware?

P.S.

Or maybe there is some way to fix the problem by upgrading the pins of the HDMI-to-HDMI cable?

The SMSL RAW-DAC1's HDMI input is an HDMI input dedicated to HDMI-ARC output, which is used in recent TVs and other devices. It cannot be connected to HDMI for I2S as the standards are different. HDMI-ARC outputs are labeled ARC or eARC.
Please be aware that even if the same HDMI is used in the connector, the signals they handle are completely different.

Before writing such provocative nonsense, you need to open the user manual for this DAC.
Or just look at its photo back panel.
There is no HDMI-ARC in the RAW-DAC1.
The RAW-DAC1 has I2S-HDMI.
